Hello, I was contacted by Abdullah who is raising money for his survival. This is his story:
My name is Abdullah Abu Odeh, a twenty-four-year-old university graduate studying business administration from northern Gaza. I have lived my entire life under siege, but the past twenty-one months have been the darkest and most brutal of my life.
I not only witnessed this genocide, but I also lived it.
While people my age were studying around the world, traveling, and building their futures, I was digging graves. I spent my youth and adulthood burying friends, neighbors, and loved ones, one by one. I lost my closest friends.
The Israeli occupation also destroyed my home, leaving me not only homeless but also without a place to house my history, my integrity, and my dreams.
But grief has not stopped me.
Between airstrikes, hunger, and grief, I continue to serve.
I volunteer in humanitarian campaigns, helping distribute food and water in our camp. I dreamed of learning, traveling, and laughing with friends—like any 24-year-old. But those dreams were stolen by the blockade and the occupation. All I had left was my goal.
Now, even that goal is under threat. I write this not as a plea, but because continuing is becoming more difficult every day.
